Plea deal ends hate crime case from attack on pro-Palestinian encampment at UCLA

Malachi Marlan-Librett, who was accused of assault and a hate crime in 2024, will enter a diversionary program that will clear his criminal record if completed successfully. Despite hundreds of people being arrested during protests at UCLA and USC last year, only three have faced criminal charges.
